Shanxi Tianhong Import & Export Co., Ltd. has set its sights on the vast overseas market since its establishment. Among the many potential international cooperation maps, the Russian market with its huge consumption potential and unique market demand, has become the target of our focus. On the 17th of September 2024, with the firm belief in developing the international market, we embarked on the journey to the CROCUS EXPO International Exhibition Center to participate in World Food Moscow 2024, which is not only a simple exhibition, but also an important event for us.This is not only a simple exhibition, but also an important milestone in our internationalisation.

 

During the 4 days of the exhibition, our booth was very well attended. Customers from all over Russia and neighbouring countries came to talk to us. We discussed co-operation models with food distributors, who showed great interest in introducing our walnut products to the local market; with retailers, we learnt about their views on packaging and retail prices; and food processors showed great interest in our walnut raw materials and hoped to establish a long-term and stable supply relationship. Through these in-depth exchanges, we have collected a large amount of valuable market information and successfully expanded our rich customer resources.

 

The exchanges with our customers made us deeply realise that the demand for walnut products in the international market is diversified. The Russian market pays particular attention to the quality stability and nutritional value of the products. Customers also have unique requirements for the packaging of the products, which should be attractive as well as easy to store and transport. In terms of flavour, they want more innovative products that are in line with local eating habits. These feedbacks provide a clear direction for our future product development and production.

 

At this exhibition, we deeply appreciated the great advantage of face-to-face communication. When communicating with customers online, there are often misunderstandings due to time difference, language expression and other problems. But in the exhibition site, through face-to-face communication, we can answer customers' questions in time, show the characteristics of our products, and more intuitively feel the needs and feedback of customers. This direct communication greatly brings us closer to our customers and lays a solid foundation for establishing long-term cooperation.
