Thin-skinned walnuts are not very demanding on environmental conditions. As long as the annual average temperature is above 9~16℃ and the annual rainfall is above 800 mm, they can be planted. Thin-skinned walnuts have a wide range of adaptability to soil, but because they are deep-rooted fruit trees and have weak resistance, deep, fertile, and water-retaining loam should be selected. For gardens with poor site conditions, fertilizer and water leakage, and poor soil, more organic fertilizers can be applied to improve the soil to maintain normal growth and fruiting of the tree.
